Description:
At 528 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Signal Mountain, or near Chattanooga, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Chattanooga, Signal Mountain, Rossville, Walden, Ridgeside, Harrison,
Fairmount, Red Bank, Collegedale, and East Brainerd.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
east Tennessee.
