Description:
At 448 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southeast of
Lomax, or 12 miles north of Garden City, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Big Spring, Greenwood, Stanton, Coahoma, Forsan, Sand Springs, Lomax,
Lake Colorado City State Park, Westbrook, Vincent, Big Spring Country
Club, Big Spring McMahon-Wrinkle Airpark, Elbow, and Spraberry.
This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 153 and 208.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
